On May 26, 2026, Shanghai Clearing House held a symposium, commended award-winning research projects of 2025, and facilitated in-depth exchanges on topics, research plans and expected outcomes. Huang Ning, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, presided over the meeting. Over 30 participants including directors of relevant departments, representatives of research teams and excellent staffs attented the symposium.


Shanghai Clearing House launches dozens of research projects every year, yielding a wealth of high-quality research achievements covering policy implementation, business optimization and leading technology application. Some of the achievements have been translated into  initiatives for business innovation and technological upgrading.


In recent years, the Party Committee of the Shanghai Clearing House has attached great importance to research and strived to build a research-oriented financial market infrastructure. To further implement the key work arrangements of the People's Bank of China and leverage the forward-looking and guiding role of research, Shanghai Clearing House has established a multi-level, cross-departmental and regular working mechanism featuring research exploration, business support and collaborative innovation. It focuses on exploring new ideas and measures with practical policy implications for key issues and priorities, aiming to address development challenges through research and comprehensively improve business quality and efficiency.


Going forward, Shanghai Clearing House will continue supporting the performance of the central bank's duties and the development of Shanghai as an international financial center. It will fully implement all work arrangements of the People's Bank of China, adhere to a problem-oriented approach and a macroscopic perspective. All staff will be encouraged to keep abreast of forefront theories, latest domestic and international practices and trends, so as to elevate professional research capabilities and better underpin the high-quality development of the financial market.
