On 18 June 2026, Ms. Leung Fung Yee, CEO of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, and Mr. Leung Chung Yin, Executive Director of the Supervision of Markets Division, visited Shanghai Clearing House (SHCH). Mr. Ma Jianyang, Chairman of SHCH, chaired the meeting, with Mr. Huang Ning, Deputy General Manager of SHCH, also in attendance. The two sides agreed to further deepen cross-border connectivity mechanisms including the Swap Connect and the Bond Connect, and to promote deeper integration of the financial markets between Mainland China and Hong Kong.
On 16 June, Mr. Philip Brown, CEO of Clearstream Banking, along with colleagues, visited SHCH. Chairman Ma Jianyang chaired the talks. The two sides held in-depth discussions on exploring connectivity of financial infrastructures and expanding cooperation in issuance and custody services.
On 17 June, Mr. Marc Luet, Head of Japan, Asia North and Australia Cluster and Banking of Citigroup, and Mr. Zhang Wenjie, President and Executive Director of Citibank (China) Co., Ltd., visited SHCH. Chairman Ma Jianyang chaired the meeting, with Ms. Rong Yihua, Deputy General Manager of SHCH, also participating. The discussions covered the expansion of cooperation in interest rate swaps, credit derivatives, and foreign exchange clearing services.
