Recently, a delegation led by Mr Howard Lee, Deputy Chief Executive of Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), visited Shanghai Clearing House (SHCH) . Mr Stanley Chan, Chief Executive Officer of CMU OmniClear Limited, also attended the meeting. Mr Xu Zaiyue, General Manager of SHCH, chaired the meeting, with Mr. Huang Ning, Deputy General Manager of SHCH, in attendance.

  

The discussions focused on further deepening cross-border market connectivity under Swap Connect and Bond Connect, as well as exploring closer cooperation in areas such as Yulan Issuance Model and commodity clearing. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing innovative forms of cooperation and further strengthening cross-border custody, clearing and settlement capabilities, to facilitate greater cross-border use and circulation of the RMB, broaden the application of RMB assets in global markets, and enhance their role in global pricing and risk management, thereby contributing to China’s continued high-standard financial opening-up.
